We have two electric bikes. They are not the newest, but they work fine. There is a charger in the outhouse that works for both bikes.

NEIGHBORS
Many people are away on vacation in July. This is the month in Denmark when most people go on vacation. We have just got new neighbors on both sides. They have 3 girls in both places, so there are happy girl voices in the summer day. They know you are coming and are happy to help if needed.
A few houses up the road (no. 16) lives Lene Eis. She has lived on the road for many decades and knows the area very well. She is also used to coming to our house, so she is happy to help if needed.
Lene can also help with watering if you are going away for a few days.

SHOPS
There are lots of houses in the local area, but only a few shops. At the top of the hill are two supermarkets where you can get what you need.
It takes 20-30 minutes to walk there, but you can do it in 5 minutes by bike.
The address of one of the supermarkets is: Ormslevvej 230. Here are both supermarkets, a kiosk and a few other shops.

AROS
Aros is our very fine art museum. Set aside plenty of time for your visit. You should go up to the top and experience the rainbow, and down into the underground dome that has just been opened, where you will find a Jenkin van Zyl work– Lost Property.

DEN UENDELIGE BRO / The never ending bridge
This place is located a few kilometers south of the city center, and you can get there by good bike paths. Here you can swim and here you can walk along the beach kilometer after kilometer.
In the forest you will also find a deer park, where you can take a walk in the very beautiful nature and see the red deer grazing.

AARHUS Ø
Is the new part of the city, built in the old harbor area. Here there is a popular swim area, where there are also many fun new small modern bars and lunch places. Fun place to have a beer or a glass of wine. There is good bicycle access.
DEN GAMLE BY
Its Wonderfull to take a walk in ‘The Old City’ and a bit of curious you can stay there all the day.
The very young woman who is the new chief there is living 4-5 numbers up the road 🙂

EXCERCISES IN THE KITCHEN
WATER – GARDEN – FLOWERS
Indoor:
Please water the plants in the studio if they need water.
It depends very much on the weather.
Do not water the three plants in the sitting room unless they are almost dead. Normally I water them once a week, again depending on the weather.
Outdoor:
The tall plant near the room, where the washing machine is needs a lot of water, so please pay attention to that specific plant.
Tomatoes outside under the roof:
It is the first year we have tried to have tomatoes outside, and it seems to be a good idea.
Feel free to eat the tomatoes when they are ripe and please water them.
Maybe you’ll have enough water in the little sink next to the tomatoes where the water from the roof runs into.
We have a very little green garden with some cabbage and some peas and some salad in the little “green house”.
Take what is ripe and please water in the evening, if needed.
We have a tall black water tank opposite the garden which normally contains many liters of water.
Please use water from the tank to water the garden.
You will get a bit of exercise as well carrying the water.
