STAVTRUP

Where in the world can you find Stavtrup?
Close to Aarhus a little to the west is the district of Stavtrup. It is an area with classic Danish low-rise detached houses, which take up a lot of space in the landscape and are rarely really interesting from an architectural perspective. One corner of the district has historically been a small station town, and here you will find a more varied construction. On the road:
MONDRUPSVEJ there is a mixture of newer houses and older half-timbered houses. Pure idyll.

From the center of Aarhus (the train station) you can take bus no. 11 and find a stop close to – walking distance – from Mondrupsvej.

To use the bus you need to download an app (free) called MIDTTRAFIK .

Around Brabrand lake, which is very close, there is a cycle path (minus cars). It is a good trip to walk or cycle. A few kilometers further to the west is Årslev Engsø, which is also a nice place to cycle or hike around. Rich birdlife.

The same cycle path is also used when cycling to the city centre. Here it is possible to get very close to the city centre before encountering other traffic, and you can often make the trip faster than the bus, as it is more direct.
